Their older style trailers were poorly designed causing them to crack nearly in half just above the axle. This happened to my trailer I purchased new from them. They were going to weld the cracks, but their welder refused to do so because he said it was not safe. He said it was a manufacturer's defect and poor initial design that could only be corrected by replacing the entire frame. Lyle from wolverine agreed to do that repair. I delivered the trailer six hours round trip to their location in Plant City so it could be brought to MI. Months have passed and I don't know where my trailer is now, and no one will answer my calls or emails. My business is suffering. I may have to report the trailer stolen at this point. The poor quality product combined with the astounding level of unprofessionalism earns this "business" as one star review. I will be posting my experience everywhere I can to hopefully prevent others from making the mistake of dealing with these people.
Lyle and his staff are very good people. I bought a 18'x7' car hauler for my Jeep in February of 2014. When I loaded it for the first time it was not quite as strong as I needed so I called the factory. Lyle immediately made some improvements to a new trailer and got it shipped up to me in less than a week. they stand by their products and are very fast to make corrections where needed. What more can you ask for? I will buy from them again.
I bought one of the wolverine pontoon trailer, in the middle of april. The second time I took the boat out, the right tail light fell apart. Also the left tail light, did not work any more. After 2 1/2 months, I was sent new tail lights for my trailer. What other problems am going to have with this trailer. So if any one asks me about wolverine trailers. I am going to tell them not to buy the wolverine trailer.
Thought it was a good product. I used a few times until the aluminum hooks that support the tailgate tore away from the rails and my tailgate bounced down 127. I took it back to the dealer that I bought it from, I had only owned it for 9 months. Wolverine/Hot Summer said they wanted to fix it themselves. After three months and seven unanswered calls I have learned that they have not even touched it yet. I am picking my trailer up from them and fixing it myself. Moral of the story, do not buy an aluminum trailer from them. If you do, be prepared to receive one return call for every seven calls into them. If you have a warranty issue, you better have alot of time on your hands!
