Jackson Rancheria Casino and Hotel employs more than 1,400 people, and is the largest employer in Amador County. Jackson Rancheria Casino Hotel offers patrons casino, hotel, dining, shopping and entertainment options. The casino is comprised of table games, slots and bingo. Restaurants located on premise include the Bronze Eagle Restaurant, Raging River Restaurant, Gary s Grand Buffet, Uncle Bud s Burgers, Main Street Food Court and Lone Wolf s Restaurant. Native American, Margaret L. Dalton and her husband founded Jackson Rancheria over 20 years ago. Back in 1984, Margaret read about the success of the Seminole Tribe in Florida opening its own Bingo Hall. Margaret found investors, but her tribe's Bingo Hall was unsuccessful, opening and closing three different times. In 1991Jackson Indian Bingo opened its doors. The Rancheria has built nearly 15 new homes for its residents. It also has a dental clinic, recreation center, water and sewage treatment plants and an auto mechanic shop.
