The Itasca Fire District is a governmental entity that offers firefighting services. It features an engine, advanced life support ambulance and aerial truck and also maintains a reserve rescue squad. The district is staffed by more than 20 full-time firefighters and paramedics and over 10 paid-on-call firefighters who receive nearly 2,000 fire calls annually. The Itasca Fire District is owned and operated by the Village of Itasca, Ill., which governs several park districts and public departments and hosts special events. The Itasca Fire District is spread across an area of more than 6.5 miles, covering portions of Itasca, Addison and Wood Dale.
