Dr. Waqar joins ENTA from an allergy and asthma practice in Ithaca, NY. He did his undergraduate work at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then earned his medical degree at Albany Medical College, served his residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, and received his Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology from Northwell Health in Great Neck, NY.He is board certified in Allergy and Immunology by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology; Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and certified in Basic Life Support as well as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. He holds memberships in both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and has served as a clinical instructor of Pediatrics at the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Waqar has presented, and been published, in a number of prestigious journals and conferences, and has been honored numerous times.
