Sierra Vista Middle School is located in Irvine, Calif., and is a part of the Irvine Unified School District. It serves students in grades six through eight. The school s academic curriculum includes programs in language arts, mathematics, science and social science. Sierra Vista Middle School additionally offers classes in art, Spanish, computer technology, instrumental music and physical education. It supports band, orchestra, choir and yearbook clubs. The school offers a full-year course in video technology and production that focuses on learning and utilizing the technology to create, produce, direct and edit short videos through hands-on learning activities, such as montages, parodies, public announcements, commercials and interviews. In addition, Sierra Vista Middle School offers several after-school activities, including National Junior Honor Society, sports, talent shows, science fairs and dance classes.
