Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising is a coeducational, specialized private college offering education related to the fashion, graphics, interior design and entertainment industries. It has more than 5,500 students, and has campuses located in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Irvine, Calif. It offers associate of arts, professional designation and advanced study degree programs in fashion design, interior design, merchandise marketing, textile design and visual communications. Its curriculum also includes beauty industry merchandising and marketing, product development, film and television costume design, digital media and apparel manufacturing management. Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising is approved by the National Association of Schools of Arts and Design and Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
