Founded in 1865, the Keweenaw Land Association is a natural resource company that is engaged in the long-term management of forest resources. The company owns and manages more than 160,000 surface and over 406,000 acres of severed and attached mineral rights in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It provides logs in hard maple, basswood, white ash, red oak, black cherry, and white and yellow birch. The Keweenaw Land Association also offers veneer logs and sawlogs for hardwood veneer panels, furniture and floors. The company sells and leases parcels for commercial and residential development. It provides boltwood logs for pallet materials. The Keweenaw Land Association additionally offers hardwood and softwood pulpwood logs.
