Stepping Stones Preschool provides a great balance between direct instruction & structured and open play. My son grew academically, socially and in creativity through his time there. We were conflicted about where to send him for preschool as we wanted him kindergarten-ready both in terms of content learning but perhaps more importantly ready for both the structure and freedoms of public schooling. He didn't have much experience with kids his age so we thought it important that he learn to cooperate and socialize in appropriate ways. We were entirely pleased with our experience with the school. He did the 3 day/week option, and would tell me that he wished he went everyday. He looked forward to school and loved his teachers. My family was able to elect to coop making tuition even more affordable. Add to this the fact that they are the only non-daycare, traditional preschool that has a cooperative arrangement with the ICCSD = the best deal in town! They get my highest recommendation.
