I was pleasantly surprised upon entering the shop...small but wonderfully full of beautiful yarn! I visited on a cold, wintery day. I was warmly greeted. I sat and knitted with several regulars that met weekly to share and knit. They carried known yarns and locally spun yarn. This is a shop well worth taking time to visit!

If you want to experience Iowa farm life with your kids on a weekend in the spring and summer find your way out to Fae Ridge Farm, just a few miles north from Iowa City. You will find a farm and a store to discover. The store has weaving and yarns. They sometimes have classes on weaving held in the store. Organic produce is grown in the fields near by. It is a great family field trip for a day. I recommend it for those interested in textiles and weaving.
