Provided by DexKnowsI am seeing more and more reviews of how unprofessional Connie and her business are run. Its the same song and dance. It seems Connie gets mad when you question her. She is running a dishonest business and we are going to cancel our services after our next cleaning.

Provided by YP.com- 1st occasion, Connie quoted $90 for the cleaning. Cleaning took 2.75 hours for a 2 person crew to complete.
- 2nd occasion - I asked Connie to come for the same clean job. Connie told us the cost would be the same as last time. One person showed up, and took 6.5 hours to complete. I received my bill, and was shocked to get a $200.10 bill. I called Connie about it and she was incredibly rude. Told me her person was there for 6.5 hours and she charges $30 per man hour, even though last time the crew of 2 did it in 2.75 hours for $90. She lied to me blatantly saying she never gave me a quote and if I was only charged $90 last time it was an error and that I was, in her words “lucky I don’t add that on to this bill”. She then insulted me saying that I did not understand her complex (note my sarcasm) $30 per man hour formula. I gave up trying to talk to her, paid the bill in full and warn you away from CWGC, they are a dishonest company that I never again will trust in my home.

Provided by DexKnowsI am writing this review based on my 2 experiences with Connieâs White Glove Cleaning in Iowa City, IA. Here are the facts of the service that I received:- We had CWGC in for a cleaning on our first occasion where we wanted our entire house cleaned. We have a pretty standard 2 story home and Connie herself quoted over the phone a cost of $90 for the cleaning.- The cleaning was performed and it took 2.75 hours for a 2 person crew to complete the job. - The results were about a 7 out of 10, not bad but there were some surfaces that were not dusted, spots left on one of our bathroom mirrors and they âmoppedâ the floor by just using a spray bottle to spray spots on the floor and a Swiffer to wipe it around. Not great, but satisfactory (at best).- We then had a party to get ready for a few months later and called Connie again to come and do the exact same clean job on our house, we did ask for an actual mopping job this time with our supplies used. We were told the cost would be the same as last time.- This time, only one person showed up (they were late) and they took 6.5 hours to complete the job.- This lady did a great job, no doubt this time 10 out of 10.- Now, when we received our bill, we were shocked to get a $200.10 bill. When we called Connie herself to dispute the bill, she was incredibly rude to use, told us that her person was there for 6.5 hours and she charges $30 per man hour. Even though last time the crew of 2 did it in 2.75 hours and we were only charged $90. She then proceeded to lie to me blatantly that she never gave me a quote and that if I was only charged $90 last time it was an error and that I was, in her words âlucky I donât just add that on to this billâ. Not only would she not even consider changing the bill, she insulted me by saying that I did not understand her complex $30 per man hour formula and kept trying to explain it to me even though I was quite clear on the explanation (my college degree allows for such higher levels of thinking â please note the sarcasm).- I finally gave up on trying to talk to this person that was being completely dishonest and belligerent at the same time and told her I would pay my bill as is and that would be the last she would ever have our business.I paid the bill in full ($200.10) and I write this to warn you away from CWGC as they are a dishonest company that I personally would never trust in my home.

Provided by YP.comThe job completed poorly. It is still very dirty. Tried to call over 20 times and no one every picked up the phone. Even left a voicemail and no returns. I would rather pay more for a better cleaner job so I do not have to pay the second time for someone else to do a better job. Will I ever use their service again? NEVER.

Provided by DexKnowsUnfortunately, the customer that wrote the review of Connie's WGC has failed to give all the facts regarding this situation, I'm sure most people understand that here are usually 2 sides to every problem. When cleaning someone's house, there is more to the equation than just the size of the propertry to determine the amount of money needed to clean it. One bit of missing information has to do with how long it has been since the place was 'properly' cleaned and another is regarding the amount of 'clutter' left in our way to clean aound and under. I could continue to comment on each of the inaccurate staements in the review, but instead, I will werely point out that the ONLY accurate statement in the review is the FIRST sentence. All other statements are inaccurate to verying degrees. I hope you will not let 1 unhappy and unpleasable customer have a great deal of influence on your decision as to whether to give Connie's White Glove Cleaning a try.Sincerely, Connie

Provided by DexKnowsWe received a gift certificate for cleaning service. The staff was slow and the job was inadequate. Could not clean our 1 bedroom house for $150. Damaged our oven in front of my wife. Connie told us to contact her with the bill. We sent a certified letter and called her with no response. When we did talk to her she refused to accept responsibility, suggested that the oven was already damaged, accused us of failing to research her products and then said our Viking oven must have been defective. She then requested the damaged panel as proof. She finally agreed to pay us 1/2 the replacement cost and it's been three weeks and she did not send us any money. If you hire her, I hope you don't find reason to question her and be treated with disrespect and rudeness.
