Southport Elementary School, founded in 1962, offers education to students in grades kindergarten through five. Its curriculum includes subjects, such as social studies, science, mathematics, English, physical education, technology and computers. The school s subjects also include social sciences, business, and fine and language arts. It also provides training classes in writing, reading and speaking skills. The services offered by the school include academic guidance, and career development and counseling. It provides sports activities that include football, softball, tennis, hockey, canoeing, soccer and volleyball. The school also offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including dance, music, drama, face painting and Frisbee. Southport Elementary School is a part of the Metropolitan School District of Perry Township and is located in Indianapolis.
