Kristen Scheffel, CPNP, is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital. She provides inpatient and outpatient care to pediatric cardiovascular surgery patients of all ages with congenital heart defects. She works hard to provide family-centered care and education through a multidisciplinary approach for optimal patient outcomes. She has cared for pediatric patients in a variety of intensive care settings since 2012. Kristen was awarded Nashville's Top 30 Under 30 Award for her leadership qualities, volunteer roles, and professional achievements. She has received numerous nominations and awards throughout her nursing career including Indiana Salute to Nurses, Margaret Martin Award, Red Shoe Award, and a Graduate Scholarship. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis and her Master of Science in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University. She is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
