General Info
Mr. DeWester now practices exclusively as an elder law attorney and has practiced in that area for thirty-three years. Elder Law encompasses probate estates, guardianships, wills, trusts, real estate, Medicaid and Estate Planning and Administration. He also has a wide background of legal experience, having worked, part-time, as a public defender for twelve years, while maintaining a general private practice in the areas of criminal defense, litigation, bankruptcy, family law, guardianships, probate, estate and Medicaid planning, and real estate, while gradually shifting his emphasis toward elder law. He also has a diverse background of experience in construction, business, military, law enforcement, and government. As a result of his broad background of both legal and non-legal experience, he is capable of assisting and does, from time to time, assist elderly clients and their families with a variety of legal issues outside of the elder law area. He can also assist clients with issues in these other areas of law with referrals to other professionals having experience and expertise in the particular area of need.
