Cold Spring School serves more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade eight. It features an academic program that focuses on environmental studies and includes science, math, reading, writing and social studies. The school also offers classes in health and physical education and supports the English as a Second Language program. Cold Spring School employs a Title I coach, parent liaison, speech therapist and psychologist. The school has a media center that provides a range of resources and information that satisfy the educational needs and interests of students. It is a part of Indianapolis Public Schools, which includes Washington Irving Elementary School, Minnie Hartmann Elementary School and James Russell Lowell Elementary School.
