Reviews
Agree with other review that it is a very attractive space and the service is friendly and attentive. The food was tasty, BUT everything was swimming in grease, and neither of us could finish our meal because of it. Too bad, we really wanted to like this place.
waitress sweet, very attentive, prompt with chips, pico, paper & pencil i requested, & virgin margarita. men with small brooms swept up crumbs. soft mexican music, laughter, mexican station on big screen (good choices-perfect ambience). lively appealing decor of mottled yellow walls above large red & white tile wainscoting. subdued floor & upholstery colors-smart. chile relleno-savory w/pale sweetness of chilie-and generous soft beef tacos-served hot. timing was appropriate-food definitely cooked-not microwaved. excellent home-made refried beans-not canned; buttery savory rice w/bits of pepper & corn. alert, happy wait staff, roaming, checking for satisfaction-not obstrusive. many booths, lots of space, light. gorgeous stemware. plates removed promptly; delightful, sweet experience for such a small price-$16+well-earned big tip. 2 suggestions-allow relleno to drain, breathe & crisp after frying & serve sauce on side-it was tasty but just a tad soggy-and ask for my tex-mex salsa recipe.
