Desert Horizons Country Club began in 1980. Its abundance of palm trees is enhanced by the more than 2,000 stately reminders of the project's history as a Date Palm Grove. The Club is located in Indian Wells, a private, gated development that is close to the Town Center Mall, the McCallum Theater, restaurants, movie theaters and El Paseo Drive, the valley's version of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Its low-density community with 512 homes on 300 acres has won numerous building awards for the development and floor plans, including the coveted 'Best Low Density Residential Development in the West' by the Pacific Coast Builders Conference. The showcase of this member owned club is the Championship Golf Course designed by master designer Ted Robinson.
