This Winn Dixie is CROOKED. Recently I bought groceries there. They nearly double billed me. I noticed it before I left the store. I had to wait in line at the returns counter in order to receive a refund. Their only excuse was "It happens."
Again, last week I bought a piece of roast pork. The label claimed it was 5.5 lbs. If I used that weight to cook the roast pork, it would have been BURNED TO A CRISP. According to my best guess, I allowed 2.5 lbs instead of the 5.5 lbs on the meat department label. I cooked it according to 2.5 lbs. SURPRISE. It was OVERCOOKED.
This is completely CROOKED. The label claimed I saved $16 on the purchase. Instead of paying $1.90 per lb, as the label claimed, instead I paid about $5 per pound. ROAST PORK NEVER COSTS $5 PER POUND IN ANY GROCERY STORE. At most, roast pork would cost $2.50 per pound.
In addition, the fresh vegetable produce is often either rotten or soon to become rotten, especially their fresh tomatoes which I need for salads.
There is NO WAY I intend to save my receipts. I have better things to do with my time than adding up their receipts to be certain they are not overcharging me.
I only shop their because it's near Walmart which causes it to be convenient for me.
I am totally disgusted with this store.
