Elm Grove Elementary School is a coeducational school located in Independence, Mo. The school has an annual enrollment of more than 450 students from kindergarten through grade four. It offers support services in the areas of learning disabilities, speech, counseling, music, art, library, child care and special education programs. The school organizes a range of sports activities, such as football, volleyball, softball, tennis, soccer, wrestling and cross country. The school s academic curriculum includes health and physical education, reading and writing, math, science and social studies. It has a parent-teacher association that sponsors educational and social programs to compliment the classroom curriculum. Elm Grove Elementary School is operated by the Fort Osage School District, which also governs other elementary, middle and high schools.
