I got a tattoo done august 10, 2012 on the inside of my lip they said it would fade the next day. Well boys it's still there.

Not only is rock's work amazing but he is amazing person. I love just stopping in to say hi. I waited 3 years to get tattooed in Huntsville, and finally found my artist in rock. Great tattoos and a great place to hang out.

The platinum Koi is a excellent place to get tatted. Great atmosphere, good people. They know what they are doing, and it won't cost you a fortune to get your tattoo.

There is not really a way to justify the level of Rock's talent. Not only does he offer a professional, clean and well structured environment but he is respectful and kind. he makes getting a tattoo as meaningful as it should be. He is very gentle with such a painful thing. The space he has created to provide this special experience is so calming and welcoming, you'd never picture getting a tattoo to be so beautiful. Rock truely amazed me. Im beside myself. This gentleman made my dreams come true. literally. he took the idea i had, and turned it into a masterpiece. My tattoo legit looks like someone took a picture of the animals glued it onto my skin. Hes shading is better than i have ever witnessed on another persons body. Its not just the shading that was so impressive. it was the entire thing. i am blessed to have had Rock to do my tattoo. i wouldnt trade the world for the experience i had with him. I will tresure his art on my body forever. you are messing up if you go see any other tattoo artist. Rock is, by far, the absolute best. I mean every word.

My experience at The Platinum Koi was beyond Memorable!!! Beautiful Studio that was warm and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and made me feel right at home. The atmosphere was very motivating and upbeat. The skill level of all Artist was on a different level; Rock was very welcoming and humble about his amazing talent. There were only positive words spoken about other local artist which was very nice and showed support from the Platinum Koi. Def need to check out Robert Colston Jr. his skill level and drawing capabilities set him apart from other Artists. The up and coming Joshua-Ryan aka JR. is one to be watched. His abilities to draw and paint def set him on a whole different level than any apprentice I have seen. Would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone I meet!!!

This place is AMAZING..Rock is the BEST I had family in town and we wanted to get my granddaughter her first tattoo. We were supposed to go some where else, but they wouldn't take appts. over the phone and kept putting us off. So I called around to fortunately for us no one answered their phones. Except for Rock, who was at his shop on his Birthday. I explained what wanted we and there was a few others that wanted some small easy tats. He said that he was planning on taking the day off, but that we sounded so interesting that he would stay and do them for us. I warned him that we were all addicted to tats and there may end up being more. When I walked in he immediately knew who I was, and as the rest of my horde walked in, the lobby became full. I thought he would be overwhelmed but No he and the rest of his team, embraced us all. We explained what we wanted and he put his twist on them. We ended up with a total of 8 tattoos..even Alan took 1 before his apt came in..and he did a Fabulous job. We have such a GREAT time. We will not ever go to another place for tattoos. Not only is the shop unique so is Rock and his team. This is not only our new tattoo shop but they are family. Thank You Rock for taking the time for me and my crazy family and sharing your Birthday will us. See you soon

I wouldn't go to anyone than Rock for a tattoo. I've got 6 tattoos and he has done the best tattoo I have. I won't go anywhere else from now on. He does amazing work and i would recommend him to anyone wanting a tattoo. He is the best tattoo artist in town hands down.

My husband and I went there on a Saturday night and luckily I got Alan to do my first tattoo which was very large and on my ribs. He does GREAT work and causes little pain! His lines and shading are so perfect. Meanwhile, my husband was going to be tattooed by Rock, and we had appointments, but Rock kept putting people in front of him until we just left. He put a total of 4 others in front of my husband that were walk-ins. So I would go there to see Alan, but I wish that Alan could get in a better studio than this so I could take my business else where. ALAN IS AMAZING. ROCK IS RUDE.

I was really pleasantly surprised when we visited Platinum Koi. The environment was warm and welcoming. ..it was like relaxing at a friend's house. Comfortable couches, chill lighting, movies on projection screen, pool table, and good conversation. Oh, and the tattoos! I got my 4th tat and it's my favorite! I didn't feel like I was in a tattoo shop; I honestly felt like I was hanging at a friend's. I'm already anticipating my next trip. I'm definitely getting more tattoos here, but even sooner I plan to go back and hang out. It's more than a tattoo shop, it's an experience. I love it! !!

This place is horrible. I went here not to long ago to get a simplistic tattoo.This place is super unprofessional, I wasted three hours there before actually getting the service and the artist was constantly being distracted from his work by kids, dog, and etc. He cannot tell straight lines from curved lines and my skin is completely butchered due to his heavy hand and lack of experience.I will never go here again.

BEST tattoo shop in HUNTSVILLE hands down. EVERYONE is kind, funny, & makes you feel right at home. I will never go anywhere else to get my ink!!(: i would recommend this shop to any & everyone!!

I WENT TO THE PLATINUM KOI TATTOO STUDIO TO GET AN ORIGINAL DESIGNED TATTOO DONE. I EXPLAINED MY CONCEPT AND WAS ABLE TO HAVE IT DRAWN UP BY THE OWNER OF THE SHOP. IT WAS PERFECT AND I WAS ABLE TO GET MY TATTOO EXACTLY HOW I WANTED IT AND FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. THEIR WORK IS AMAZING AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GET A TATTOO.

Ok so this have been along time coming time to call ppl out i just love how i got this tattoo that i paid $600 for and didnt get finished dude said come back tommrow ill finish it ya right IVE GONE TO HIS SHOP MULTIPLE TIMES AND ALL HE SAYS IS MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND ILL FINISH IT ONLY THING IS WHEN U MAKE MY APP. I HAVE TO WAIT HOURS AND HOURS WHILE HE FINSHES SOMEBODY ELSES tattoos LIKE I DIDNT HAVE A APPOINTMENT SET UP THEN HE "MOVED SHOPS" AND lies after lies I TOLD HIM I WANTED IT FINISHED IN MAY FOR MY BDAY AND STARTED IT IN APRIL.... then he brags about how much money he made off me and hopw he played me

I went into the Platinum Koi as a client and fell in love with the atmosphere of the place. Any other shop I had went into was like herding cattle, and was very impersonal. They laughed and joked with me the whole time while I had my tattoo done. It was a great experience!!

WOW this place is FUN! Not only did I get a great tattoo, but my friends that wanted to come with me had a blast playing pool and hanging out with the fun and awesome staff. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tattoo in Huntsville, AL or a piercing in Huntsville, AL.
