I was supposed to move in on Friday, May 22. I was not allowed to see the actual apartment until after I signed the lease. When I arrived with the movers, I was horrified to find my apartment had a crooked front door that looked like it had been kicked in; the bathroom mirror was had black mold on the bottom; there was a huge wasp nest on the porch; and the door frames were two inches smaller than the standard 28 inch door frame, thus preventing some of my furniture from being moved in (the movers measured the door frame). I am still waiting for the refund they promised me... WORST experience ever!!!

A trap for a lease break free. They will break a lease for active military, but not contractors quoting "HUD Equal Housing Laws". When asked why not, they said no exceptions even if my job has moved 300 miles away and I can prove it. I said well there are exceptions for active military so you can do exceptions. In other words, it's an equal screwing for all no matter what the circumstance even if you job moves. If you are not active military, this place can trap you into thousands of dollars and say they depend on companies to pay out your lease. No amount of effort will please these people. I called HUD in Atlanta to see if they have some policy where they are required to tag people with fees and they just laughed. One staff member told me that they have their policies in place just for this reason... To make money. They also turned over the case to a collection agency though I travelled back two seperate weekends, cleaned up, kept the utilities on for 3 months, and paid double rent.
Management is slow to repair anything around the apartment. jacuzzi has been broken down for at least two years. Staff member (maintenance man) was involved in a theft and fraud to another tenant, management has not done anything to resolve it, other than move him. The man still has access to everyone's apartment within his job duties. Not recommended.
