Huntsville Hospital Emergency Department is the state's largest emergency and trauma center capable of treating 100 patients. It is the region's only state-designated Level 1 Trauma Center with more than 40 emergency medicine specialists, nurse practitioners, and specialized nursing and technician staff medicine. The Trauma Center also has 24/7 coverage with trauma surgeons and neurosurgeons.
