General Info

In 30 years of practice I have seen a tremendous improvement in the quality of technology that I offer to my patients. Technology has enabled me to provide benefits now that seemed impossible 10 or so years ago. I enjoy hearing about the improvements in the quality of life that the new technology has afforded. Patients can now expect more benefit than ever before from properly fitted and maintained hearing devices. One of the most important aspects of my responsibility is to work with each patient individually to help them hear their best. Each patient presents with unique needs that will not allow a “cookie cutter” or “one size fits all” approach. Depending on lifestyle, financial constraints etc, each patient that I see is evaluated carefully to determine what options might be most appropriate for them. I see patients who have not been given proper education and counseling but instead were told “this is what your insurance pays for” and were fit quickly and sent out the door without really knowing what had transpired. Hearing devices should add a significant improvement in the quality of life for the patient and their friends and family. Careful consideration to the needs of patient should be expected so that a positive outcome is achieved. Technology can range from entry level devices to very advanced signal processing that is capable of giving excellent results in very noisy conditions. Patients can vary in what they are trying to achieve in using a hearing device. Some just want to hear the television and family better in a quiet environment. Others may be very active in social and occupational activities and have high demands that require very advanced technology. This is where time and consideration from the hearing professional is required to make sure that the patient’s needs are served. I welcome the opportunity to assist you in helping resolve your hearing related problems.
