- Dental ExaminationMaintaining oral health includes good home care and regular visits to our office for preventive care, which includes oral examinations and cleanings. Even with excellent care, however, teeth and gums can be susceptible to disease, infection, cavities, cracks, or other forms of damage.

- Teeth CleaningThe purpose of a dental cleaning is to remove the plaque and tartar that builds up on the teeth, often between teeth and near the gumline. Having a professional dental cleaning every six months helps to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. Your dental cleaning at Kalmar Family Dentistry will include flossing, and professional polishing as well.
- Fluoride TreatmentFluoride treatments are a fast, painless, noninvasive treatment that helps to strengthen teeth and prevent demineralization. The treatment involves the application of a fluoride gel, foam, or varnish to the teeth via a small brush.
- Dental SealantsDental sealants are an incredibly effective preventative treatment used to fill deep grooves in your child’s chewing teeth (molars). Because children with deep grooves or crevices are more likely to develop cavities, a safe resin material is painlessly applied to the surface of the teeth to fill in the grooves. This seals off the tooth and prevents the accumulation of food and plaque that leads to tooth decay.
- Fillings
- Resin CompositePorcelain dental veneers can provide gleaming, perfectly aligned teeth you often see public figures and celebrities flashing. Porcelain veneers use a tiny porcelain shell bonded to your existing teeth to brighten your smile, fill small gaps or chips in teeth, and correct unevenly sized or misshapen teeth. Composite resin veneers are also available, although they may need to be replaced more frequently than porcelain veneers. Learn More About Veneers

- Restorative DentistryRestorative dentistry helps preserve natural teeth. The goal of restorative dentistry is to restore the function and integrity of the tooth structure, function, and health, while maintaining a natural appearance.
- Root Canal TreatmentAn emergency root canal is necessary when a tooth has become infected or so severely decayed that it has become inflamed or developed an inflammation. If you have an infected or severely decayed tooth, you will experience severe pain, especially when you try to chew or when exposed to temperature changes. To prevent the infection from spreading to the jaw bone and surrounding tissues, one of the doctors at Kalmar Family Dentistry will provide an emergency root canal to remove decay, eradicate the infection, in order to resolve the discomfort.
- Deep Cleaning
- DenturesFor patients who are missing many or all of their teeth, implant supported dentures may be an alternative to traditional dentures. This solution requires the placement of two or more implants. In order to replace a full arch denture, a minimum of four implants is generally recommended. Eligibility for this solution is dependent upon a number of factors, with jaw bone density being one of the most significant determining factors.
