Allegheny Valley School, headquartered in Coraopolis, Pa., provides residential, therapeutic, educational, vocational and social programs for individuals from childhood through adulthood. Allegheny Valley School was established in 1960. It operates more than 120 facilities and programs across Pennsylvania. The school provides care to more than 900 children, adults and senior citizens suffering from mental retardation. It also serves individuals suffering from physical disabilities, medical complications and behavioral management needs. It provides its residents homestyle living through community group homes, campus environments, apartments and family living arrangements. The school also offers individualized services that include physical, occupational and speech therapies, special education and vocational training.
