- Family PracticeShe is Board-Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and also holds certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. Prior to joining Wee Kare Pediatrics, Jennifer worked in family medicine treating both children and adults alike. She believes that communication is key in providing the best care possible and strives to keep parents/patients up to date on health education and preventative medicine. In her spare time, she likes spending time with her family and friends, cooking, traveling, shopping, and spoiling her dachshund, Tahoe.
- Emergency CareMr. Ross Taylor, MS, Pa-C was born in McCall, Idaho. After High School he served our nation in the United States Coast Guard aboard the search and rescue vessel “USCGC Narwhal” Following service in New Jersey, and California, Ross returned to his home state of Idaho to attend Bolse State University where he graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelor’s in Health Science ad Addiction Studies. He then went on to pursue his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Seton Hill University near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During his Masters education he received additional training at both Johns Hopkins (Emergency Department) and UPMC (Internal Medicine).
- Infectious DiseasesDr Douglas is a graduate of the University of Cape Town Medical School in South Africa in 1999. After working in the field of pediatrics in both South Africa and the United Kingdom, she completed her residency in pediatrics at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC where she also served as chief resident. Her interest in helping children with infectious diseases took her back to South Africa, where she completed a masters degree in pediatric infectious diseases and also worked for a USAID-funded NGO to improve healthcare provision for underprivileged children. Dr Douglas moved to Houston, Texas in 2014 and joined WeeKare Pediatrics in August 2016. She loves working with children in the primary healthcare setting and is passionate about providing holistic care for families.
- ImmunizationsThe medical history of your child is also taken into consideration. Vaccination records for the child are also important. If necessary, the child may receive any vaccines recommended by the doctor in order to bring his or her medical record up to date.
- Internal MedicineJennifer is a native Houstonian who received her Bachelor’s degree in biology, while minoring in theology from The University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. After completing her undergrad she decided to pursue her passion for medicine, earning her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant studies at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. She received additional training in Pediatric Psychology (Excela) and Internal Medicine (UPMC).
