General Info

Reeds Ferry Our History Reeds Ferry Small Buildings, Inc manufactures high quality custom-crafted sheds, utility buildings, gazebos, and pool cabanas. Established in 1960 by the late Hobart D. Carleton, the company has 47 years of manufacturing experience. Today the third generation of the Carleton family owns and operates the business. We built our first shed just north of Nashua NH in the town of Reeds Ferry, hence our name. The town was named for Wilber Reed. During the 1700 and 1800's Mr. Reed operated a ferry along the Merrimack River between Litchfield and Merrimack. In 1969 our growing company needed a larger production facility, so we transferred to our current headquarters along Rt. 111 in Hudson NH. Of course after the move we kept the name Reeds Ferry, because it's like our product... one-of-a-kind.

I did not end up buying their shed, but I wanted to say what a great company they have. I ordered one of their sheds during the spring sale and paid the deposit, but then my company closed their office in Massachusetts and I lost my job. I had to cancel the shed and thought for sure I had also lost the deposit, but when I called they were very understanding. Not only did they immediately mail back the deposit, they added $100 with a note saying to take my family out to dinner!!! Incredible! I've since landed another job. It isn't quite as lucrative as my last one, but when I'm ready I'm going to get that shed...it will only be a Reeds Ferry

Highly recommended. One of the few companies I've dealt with recently that performs as advertised. A solid organization.

The salesman at home depot said they could not build a shed in our tight spot, but Reeds Ferry was willing to custom build what we needed. They rip out our old shed and installed the new one without a problem. It looks nice too. We were very satisfied with our overall experience.

Outstanding. I received a nice discount. Very nice people. I dealt with the owner and he had some ideas that kept me from making a mistake. The young men that set it up were good too. I would recommend them.

Needed the shed installed without any contact with my new sod. This company suggested using a back road in the field behind my house and they'd carry the large shed pieces 200 yards across the field to my property! The shed and my new grass both look great. They "went the extra mile". (in this case a mile was 200 yards;)... A good company to deal with. I'd recommend.

Bought one during the tax sale sale over a month ago and it finally got here yesterday! (didn't want to wait that long) But worth it. Looks good. My wife said I will be in it all the time because I'm a tool :-0

My neighbor had a Reeds shed and suggested I get one. So I got one. I like it. I'm hoping to put my new Camaro in it ;)

I found the price to be about the same as the others I looked at. I went with them because they are in the shed business full-time. (It's not like they sells sheds and plumbing supplies.) So far I've been very happy with mine.

Dang helpful... Got me out of a jam

I needed a storage shed to hide various stuff in my backyard, and I needed it installed before an important event my wife planned in the yard (daughters graduation party) So I called Reeds and explained the situation, and the guy moved me up on their install list. They came out and did the install job in the rain! It sort of matches the house and looks great, 8'x12', I can even store my ton of scrap lumber in the loft. Don't think I'll need another one (hope not!) but if I do I'd call on them again.
