I filed a valid claim for pip benefits following an MVA where I sustained injuries that were both new and exacerbated pre existing injuries. I was "under investigation from day one" stated the medical claims adjuster to my care provider and "we are not paying anything on this claim" two days before I received my official registered letter stating that my injuries "didn't arise out of the use of my insured auto" but were pre-existing. I have shown proof of loss as well as causation from letters provided by my care providers to Citizens, yet they persisted to delay my claim for 90 days and then unfairly deny my claim for pip benefits for which I am entitled. I am sending a formal complaint to the dept. of insurance and financial services in Lansing if I do not get this case reopened and receive a good faith settlement offer from them. I sustained an exacerbated hearing loss (also substantiated) and aggravated neck, shoulder injury and tinnitus and cooperated by submitting proof of loss.
