General Info
Temple Sinai is a Reform Jewish Synagogue serving Houston, Katy, Cinco Ranch and other communities in Western Harris County, Northern Fort Bend County and Southern Waller County. The membership is comprised of individuals and families with diverse backgrounds, varying levels of religious observance, and all age groups. As a Reform congregation, Temple Sinai embraces traditional Jewish practices within a framework of inclusion, diversity and respect. Both traditional Jewish families and interfaith couples are welcome at Temple Sinai. Religious services are based on liturgy drawn from ancient and modern poets in both Hebrew and English. Music is an important part of the congregation's approach to prayer, with pleasant melodies drawn from an eclectic mix of contemporary, Chassidic and ancient sources. Temple Sinai is dedicated to providing lifelong Jewish learning opportunities for all of members with vibrant educational programs for both children and adults. The Religious School provides its students with Jewish knowledge, and prepares them with the all important leadership skills necessary for the Jewish community and beyond. Our teachers are professional, enthusiastic, optimistic, and loving. They place the students needs first, and use creative and effective teaching styles for individual and group learning. With a myriad of committees and auxiliary groups to suit the interests and needs of members spiritual, educational, social advocacy, caring, outreach, and social Temple Sinai offers activities for all ages. The Temple Sinai Brotherhood, Sisterhood and TSTY Youth Group are extremely active and important aspects of congregational life. As the Warm and Friendly Congregation we welcome visitors and encourage them to explore all of the things that Temple Sinai has to offer.
