Memorial Middle School is a Blue Ribbon school that serves more than 1,000 students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as English, reading, mathematics, writing, fine arts, science, language arts, social studies and foreign languages. The school also offers gifted and talented and special education programs. Memorial Middle School offers a range of student organizations, including a student council, the National Junior Honor Society, and international, chess and ecology clubs. Its parent-teacher association sponsors several programs, such as peer group, parents assisting students for success and other fundraising events. Memorial Middle School is administered by the Spring Branch Independent School District and is located in Houston.
