Needs improvement on customer service, management was a bit unprofessional towards staff in front of customers but overall the food is delightful, especially the oxtails and macaroni and cheese...and that chocolate cake is the bomb....

This was my first time at Catherine's Soulfood, and sadly will be my last! I ordered the smothered pork chops on a Sunday afternoon with collard greens, rice and gravy, and Mac-n-cheese. I don't have one thing to say that was good about the food. The pork chops were not even pork chops, they were breakfast chops, which if you've ever purchased before you would know are thin and small. Secondly, the meat was over cooked, so it was dry and hard. The gravy was pasty and tasted burnt. The collard greens were sweet like mustard greens and were mini chopped as if they came out of a can. The macaroni and cheese was watery with more pepper than seasoning and it did not taste homemade at all! I can't speak to all that they serve, but as to what I couldn't even finish eating, this was a HUGE disappointment!

I give this restaurant a 5 star rating. I had the deep fried ribs, oh I they are delicious, please try them. I promise you will go back for more. Fried fish is good too
