General Info
Richard Baker, OD, graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1975. Currently, he is the Director of the Laser Center of Houston. Dr. Baker lectures extensively on refractive surgery practice and co-management both in the US and internationally. He has taken care of more refractive surgery patients during the critical pre and post-operative phase than anyone in the US. Dr. Baker is an active course instructor for LASIK courses. He has been a co-investigator for Summit Laser and has collected patient data for PRK, PTK and LASIK. He has taught refractive surgery nationally and internationally including China, Mexico and the Caribbean. Together, Dr. Slade and Dr. Baker direct the certification courses that are required of doctors to perform LASIK, training almost of the doctors currently doing LASIK in the United States. Dr. Baker lectures extensively on refractive surgery practice and co-management both in the US and internationally.

I have seen Dr. Baker concerning some very irritating issues concerning my eyes. Specifically, I have had some extreme problems wearing contacts after 20 plus years of wearing them. He calmly pointed out the problem and why the issue was taking place.
Casey did a great job explaining all the procedures and there purpose.
Dr.Baker is great! I appreciate his being cautious about my having dry eye and wanting a better reading on my measurements because once surgery is done.... He also explains everything to me and answers questions I have about the eye, in general.
