Ranganathan Govindaraj, MD, is board-certified in both anesthesiology and pain management. He believes in a personalized and multidisciplinary approach to pain management to improve their quality of life. Govindaraj has expertise in endoscopic pain procedures and interests in minimally invasive therapies for multiple indications like spinal stenosis, compression fractures, peripheral nerve stimulation, and spinal cord stimulation. Govindaraj received his medical degree from the University of Madras, and completed his residency and fellowship at UTHealth Houston. He has more than 20 years of experience in anesthesiology and pain medicine and practiced in three countries. He is very active in medical research and is published in many peer-reviewed medical journals. He sees patients in many locations across the Greater Houston area, and remains active in the medical community. Outside of seeing patients, Govindaraj maintains his passion for teaching residents and fellows as a professor at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
