- Primary CareIn his final year, he completed two prestigious clinical rotations in Dallas and San Diego. The rotations emphasized primary care and the treatment and management of posterior ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts for a largely indigent population. The rotations also had an emphasis on dry eye and specialty contact lenses including scleral lenses.
- GlaucomaDr. Abby Henderson was raised in Canton, Texas, and graduated with honors from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Biochemistry. She went on to earn a Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston. While in Optometry school, she received multiple awards and scholarships including special recognition for excellence in pediatric eye care, contact lens fitting, and low vision. In addition, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honorary Optometric Fraternity. Dr. Henderson is nationally board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease and state board-certified glaucoma specialist.
