Network Funding. It’s an interesting name for a mortgage company, but it’s one that communicates both our vision and our story. In 1998, two longtime colleagues, Buzz Baker and Rex Chamberlain, set out to be different from the competition by creating a network of mortgage professionals driven by values, not just profit. They took this idea and turned it into a reality by creating Network Funding. From the beginning of Network Funding, we set ourselves apart from other financial institutions in both design and essence. We began providing branches with loan product availabilities of a mortgage broker coupled with the administrative strength of a large financial institution. Consequently, our branches were free to focus on what mattered most, our clients. Quickly becoming a major player nationally, we grew to more than 150 branches across the country and over $2 billion in funding annually.
