General Info

Dr. Burkholder received his medical degree at Albany Medical College in Albany, New york. He completed his pediatric residency and his pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center where he served as chief fellow. Dr. Burkholder was born and raised in Houston. He is married with two children. His areas of clinical interest are congenital heart disease, exercise physiology, chest pain and fainting. Dr. Burkholder enjoys working with student athletes to help ensure that their hearts are healthy.
