Provided by YP.comYou have to give them a credit: they have been consistently BAD for years and years, proved by the multiple reviews in several sites.... but they are still in business, destroying smiles, squeezing your pockets, mistreating patients... yep, that's their unique and long lasting merit.

Provided by YP.comSTAY AWAY!! I have never been more disappointed in a business as I was at the GMS dental center off of Holcombe in the Texas Medical Center. The staff is very unhelpful. Their office manager is a nightmare and their billing staff is completely incompetent. When my claim was rejected I was told that "I" have to call the insurance company to get everything straightened out, even though I have no knowledge of medical billing and coding. After a lot of cat and mouse between the insurance company and the dental office I was finally able to send my claim to appeals (after having to follow up with them multiple times just to get them to send in the proper paperwork). Then, my appeal was denied because the appeals office couldn't get in contact with them!! I now get to pay for my procedure because they took too long to file the appropriate appeals paperwork. Needless to say I am extremely dissatisfied. I have a job of my own, why am I doing the work of their insurance and billing department myself???? I also had to straighten out another procedure they performed on me because they had billed it under the wrong code! Why am I, the patient, having to resolve minor billing and coding issues?
I have since switched dentists and have had a remarkably different experience with them. I had another procedure performed at this new dentist's office and though insurance tried to deny my claim, they resolved it with the insurance company before I ever even knew there was a problem. That's how a business should be run. Not this greedy, half fast, poor service that Dr. Swonke and his "team" provide. If you care about someone or yourself, don't bother with this place!! I certainly never will agian!
