First Presbyterian Church of Houston promotes its mission through worship, education, Bible study and community service. Located in Houston, the church has a congregation of more than 4,000 members. Founded in 1845, it offers various ministries, such as adults, children, youth, college, singles, young couples, and men's and women's ministries. First Presbyterian Church of Houston also offers senior adults, endowments and F.I.T. for life, media and recreation ministries. The church s staff is organized into several ministry leadership teams, with a pastor and ministry director heading every area of a ministry. It offers the Presbyterian School that was founded in 1988, and provides a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to students in prekindergarten through grade eight.
