Dean Middle School, located in Houston, is a part of the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. The school employs counselors, nurses, subject teachers, and media and instructional specialists. It offers classes in language arts, mathematics, science, physical education, history and world cultures to students in grades six through eight. Established in 1955, Dean Middle School has an enrollment of more than 1,300 students. The school s curriculum also includes art, music choir, theater arts, communication applications and keyboarding. It has a foreign language department that offers classes in French, German and Spanish. Dean Middle School supports several sports activities, such as baseball, softball, basketball, football, soccer, swimming, tennis, cross country, volleyball and wrestling.
