Incorporated in 2006, Buckeye GP Holdings is a publicly traded company that owns and controls Buckeye GP, which is a general partner of Buckeye Partners. Buckeye Partners is one of the largest, independent refined petroleum products pipeline systems in the United States. The company operates more than 5,000 miles of pipeline and over 60 products terminals with an aggregate storage capacity of nearly 24 million barrels. It additionally maintains approximately 2,000 miles of pipelines under agreements with various oil and chemical companies. Buckeye Partners operating subsidiaries include Buckeye Pipe Line Company, Laurel Pipe Line Company, Wood River Pipe Lines, Buckeye Pipe Line Transportation, Everglades Pipe Line Company, Buckeye Gas Storage and Buckeye Energy Holdings. The company maintains storage terminals in Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
