APG is a market leading manufacturer and distributor of fluid sealing and conveyance products supporting diverse end markets globally. From humble beginnings APG began as a small fabricating shop supplying soft gaskets primarily to customers in Southeast Texas in 1943. The outbreak of World War II presented a unique challenge and opportunity for the young business, while many of our early employees joined the war efforts, we had very few suppliers and thus began diversifying our product ranges in order to support a broader range of industries. In parallel, EVER-TITEâ?¢ patented the first cam and groove coupling in 1944 and gained early acceptance with the US military. As the war efforts developed the need for EVER-TITEâ?¢ couplings surpassed our ability to supply and at the request of the US government we relinquished our patent in order to allow other manufacturers to aid the military by supplying cam and groove couplings. Following the war, the US economy flourished, and American Packing & Gasket continued to expand. During the mid-1950s we recognized a void between the needs of industrial distributors and manufacturers ability to quickly react to demand cycles. We spent the next several decades building lasting relationships with manufacturers and developed an enduring reputation as a trusted partner to industrial distributors around the world. Today we remain committed to creating value for our customers.
