- Physical TherapyWhether you are starting a career in physical therapy, or looking to improve your quality of life, Body Mechanix can help.
- Frozen ShoulderPain is the most common cause of limited activity. Pain hinders normal activities and can also cause abnormal movement patterns, that, if not corrected, can become habitual and lead to additional problems. For example, if you fall and land on your shoulder, your natural reaction over the course of the next few days and weeks is to limit the use of your shoulder because it hurts. However, in just a few short days of limited use, you may start developing slightly different movement patterns because of the pain. Over time, if these movement patterns are not corrected, you can develop potentially serious and long lasting shoulder problems such as rotator cuff tendinitis or frozen shoulder because of the impaired mechanics of the shoulder musculature.

- Manual TherapyManual Therapy may sound a little intimidating, but it's really pretty simple. This is the part of your therapy program where your therapist gets personally involved and manually administers specific techniques to help you get better quicker. These techniques may include manual stretching of a joint or muscle, specific joint mobilization (helping the joint to move through more pain-free range), or soft tissue mobilization/massage. These highly specialized techniques are always used in combination with your personalized therapeutic exercise program.

- Bunions ProblemsInspecting an old pair of shoes also reveals evidence. The way the soles of your shoes wear down might confirm that you may be at risk for bunions, knee pain, and low back pain. Changing shoes and/or ordering custom orthotics along with physical therapy can help correct the problem and abolish the symptoms you may be experiencing.
- Calluses
- Foot Pain
- MetatarsalgiaCommon foot problems, such as bunions, plantar fasciitis, metatarsalgia, calluses and corns, are usually caused by lack of enough medial arch in the foot (over-pronation) when engaging in any weight bearing activity (such as walking or running). Sole Supports orthotics are unlike many other shoe inserts or arch supports which are made based upon unproven assumptions on how to control the foot. Medical studies show that the arch support in many inserts are minimal. They can end up being very expensive and are not effective in correcting foot function.
