Made a return trip after great stay in 2007. But, this time the (new??) owners allowed a 50-60 lb dog in the room directly ABOVE us. The night went w/out sleep while listening to the dog walk/play and tenants walk/talk above us through out the night. I called the front desk honestly thinking they'd resolve the issue either by having the tenant switch to another room elsewhere in the motel or even OUR room. Instead I was put on hold for 15 mins til I finally hung up and called back. 2 words into the conversation, the owner SCREAMED at me saying No, that dog did not bark!! and that I was wrong and then proceeded to HUNG UP on me! Tried again... same result. She would not cancel or refund out next night. Other complaints my family had bad smells in the rooms, unusable room door locks, loud bedding w/ unclean sheets. And, there were no Do Not Disturb signs. Once one of the owners knocked one quick knock, opened the door and then entered as we dressed! Buyer beware if issues occur!
Quaint, quite, well fitted (60-70's decor) for a nights rest, and friendly staff. No complaints.
