Established in 1972, Kinship Family & Youth Services provides a variety of in-home family preservation services for children and their families. It was incorporated as a nonprofit corporation under the not-for-profit corporation laws of the state of New York. The agency offers therapeutic foster and child health care solutions. Kinship Family & Youth Services also provides parenting skills education throughout the Finger Lakes and Western regions in New York. It operates Kinship Children's Home, which offers residential care and diagnostic services for children between the ages of 5 and 12. The agency organizes a summer camp for more than 60 children with emotional and behavioral disorders. Kinship Family & Youth Services is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). It is a division of the Catholic Charities of Rochester.
