• Infectious Diseases
  Veterinary internal medicine refers to the use of advanced diagnostic services and treatment plans for illnesses related to the internal body systems of animals. Our team can help diagnose and treat conditions of the GI system, kidneys, liver, heart, nervous system, endocrine glands, bladder, and respiratory systems. We also treat blood disorders, immune deficiencies, and infectious diseases.
• Electrocardiogram
  An EKG is a painless test used to diagnose cardiac abnormalities, such as an enlarged heart, heart murmur, congestive heart failure, or irregular heart rhythm. EKGs can also help determine if your pet’s heart is strong enough to undergo anesthesia and is often used as a pre-surgical test.
• Immunizations
  Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic recommends yearly visits for most pets and older pets coming in more frequently – at least every 6 months. Yearly exams include physical examinations by our veterinarians plus annual vaccinations or booster vaccinations, parasite screening & prevention, and various lab tests performed.

  This non-invasive diagnostic test measures the intraocular pressure inside your pet’s eye and is used to test for glaucoma and uveitis. Increased pressure in your pet’s eye can be dangerous and tonometry is an easy way to check the pressure without having to sedate your pet.
• Laser Eye Surgery
  Our veterinarians are experienced in various soft tissue pet surgeries, the most routinely performed procedures being spay/neuters and mass/tumor removals. Other examples of veterinary soft tissue surgeries include intestinal foreign body removal, laceration and wound repair, eye surgery, perineal urethrostomy, mastectomy, splenectomy, and other specialized surgeries.

  Using sound waves, ultrasound technology allows us to generate images of your pet’s internal body structures, such as muscles, tendons, joints, internal organs, and blood vessels. Ultrasound images are often ordered alongside x-rays, to get a more complete picture of your pet’s health.
