It's great when you have the chance to try new and exciting restaurants. Today I had the opportunity to visit Torito's Mexican Restaurant located at Market City in Kaimuki located on the corner of Harding Avenue and Waialae Avenue. I enjoyed the outside mbiance of the restaurant which brought my curiousity of trying it out. When I had oopen the doors to the restaurant it was a different experience in itself. You sit yourself. I had waited upto three minutes before someone came out and gave us menu's and water. I had waited about 10 minutes for the waitress who did not seem very attentive and or focused at her job. She had brought out chips and old salsa. It was very bland. My guest and I waited about 30-35 minutes for our food which seemed ridiculous. We were truly the next ones to get our food. The waitress didn't bother checking up on us at all. Had to ask someone else for the check. All in all, this is not the mexican restaurant you should be dining. Try Jose's in Kaimuki.

This restaurant serves large portions of adequate food. The main drawback is the waitresses. They seemed more interested in talking among themselves than waiting tables.

The food is great and the guys that work there are very friendly and helpful. I'm so glad they opened a shop in the downtown area and hope it works out!
