We really enjoyed Espero Spera for coffee and sandwiches. Owned by a very nice Korean couple, they are so nice, you'd want them for your auntie and uncle. Menu is very nice, well balanced, and healthy, attractive to anyone. Prices are moderate. Coffee, especially, their latte EXCELLENT with no nasty after taste that you get everywhere else (we used to own a coffee farm and a coffee retail store in Lahaina, Maui, so we know good coffee). Its WAY better than Starbucks and Honolulu Coffee Company. Their location is somewhat discrete in a "U" shaped strip center on Young Street (1334) about 10 minutes out of Waikiki. Google 1334 Young. Decor is very nice and homey, with touches of modern, and very comfortable. These people put their heart and sol into this place, and it shows. We went there at special request of our friend from Japan, directly from the airport, and she said that one of her friends had recommended she go there. We're very glad we did. We'll be going there again.
