excellent service and staff - very friendly and easy to get your car

I have to say that these guys were amazing. After 12 hours of flying normally the last thing you want to do is wait in a long line to get the keys for a vehicle that you have not seen and deal with annoyed employees........Well National Car Rental at Honolulu airport is nothing like that at all. These were some of the friendliest people I have met and extremely helpful. Best of all was their sense of humor and open personalities. The Emeralds club is awesome we even got to choose our own vehicle and I highly recommend it. Thanks again everyone we will only be using your service from now on!!!!!!

While general signage at the greater rental car lot leaves something to be desired, the National staff was great in quickly setting me up with a car of choice (VW Passat Wolfsburg edition, in this case). In returning the car to the airport, my intention to top off the tank was foiled by some faulty navigating on my part and I dropped the car off without attending to this little matter. While I hadn't driven the car too many miles, the tank was roughly 3/4 full and the attendant processing my return (Jack) was kind enough to let me slide without additional charges. Mahalo, Jack!

Fast, efficient service for this Executive member. Picking up car took about 45 seconds, drop off 1 minute.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. I arrived at the counter behind four other Exec members and another staff person came running out from the main office to help me. I got to my rental within 10 minutes of stepping up to their podium. GREAT JOB!!! Car was brand new and perfect the entire time. I come out at least twice a year and my wife comes out five times a year to keep in touch with our family and they are always full of ALOHA!!! Will always use National.

Not the friendliest of service, but maybe due to arriving late at nite to pick up a car; might have been the same dealing with a kiosk. Plus, no lights or directions (arrows) leading you to the exit; had to reach a dead-end and turn around. Customer service should have mentioned which direction to head to exit the lot. Otherwise, car choices were good.

My experience with National at the Honolulu airport was great.
