General Info
Los Chaparros has an extensive menu of Mexican entrees as well as other popular appetizers, salads, soups, and tortas. Breakfast favorites such as Huevos con Chorizo are also available all day long. Desserts include flan, bread pudding, churros and banana flautas. Housemade horchata and the fire roasted salsa with chips are always in high demand. The bar offering includes Mexican beer, wine, sangria, tequila and margaritas. Daily drink specials and weekday lunch specials are also available. Established in 2005. Los Chaparros, means "The Shorties" and refers to both co-owners, Mario (5' 4") & Lisa (4' 9") being short in stature. It is a very common practice in Mexico to give someone a nickname based on their physical characteristics as a sign of affection toward them. "The Shorties" embraced their nickname, and "Los Chaparros" was born. Mario is native to Mexico City and Lisa was born and raised in California. They were inspired to share their love of cooking (and eating) Mexican food and decided to open this restaurant. Los Chaparros has a wide array of items for you to choose from, border favorites to traditional - something for everyone.
