- Real Estate TransactionsThe Case Lombardi Summer Associate Program is an important element in our recruiting effort. Each year, the firm offers a limited number of summer associate positions designed to provide law students with an opportunity to experience associate life in the firm. Summer Associates are exposed to all practice areas of the firm through a variety of projects and assignments which include research, drafting memoranda and briefs, attendance at hearings and trials, client interaction, business and real estate transactions and closings. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawai`i at Manoa, receiving his J.D. and Environmental Law Certificate in 2008. Mr. Tom was admitted to the Hawaii bar in 2008. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Karen Ahn in the Circuit Court of the State of Hawaii from 2008-2009. He previously worked for a Honolulu law firm defending various clients in construction defect, medical malpractice, personal injury, professional liability, and other civil litigation matters. He currently practices in the areas of litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and administrative proceedings. Steven frequently represents both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial, real estate, and construction disputes.

- TrustsIn 1888, during the reign of King David Kalakaua, W.O. (William Owen) Smith, son of a missionary doctor, hung out his shingle at 66 Fort Street in downtown Honolulu. Smith, born at Koloa, Kaua‘i in 1848, played a prominent role in the annexation of Hawai‘i to the United States, yet later became the trusted friend and advisor to Queen Liliuokalani. The firm today continues to represent the Liliuokalani Trust, now a multi-million dollar charitable trust serving orphaned and destitute children of Hawaiian blood.
