- Kitchen Remodeling
- FlooringThe renovations to the Tactical Fit Building required us to demolish all current flooring and replace it with synthetic tile matting. Existing floor was leveled with a self leveling compound, prior to the new flooring and coatings, to achieve a uniform installation. The project also included installation of boxing equipment, electrical outlets and TV connections.
- Door Installation/Replacement
- FramingThis project allowed us to create and install a 180 yard covered walkway between buildings. Walkway acted as a protection from inclement weather and provided lighting for pedestrians. Disciplines included awnings, standing seam metal roofing and trim, soffit and structural framing, architecture work, site excavation, concrete/masonry, roofing and fascia.
- Tile Installation
- New ConstructionThis Job Order Contract, awarded to Kekolu, is for Mechanical and HVAC work which requires us to perform multiple projects simultaneously while utilizing many different disciplines. These projects range between $2,000 and $2,000,000. Kekolu successfully manages this contract for the Naval Research Development Establishment and supported Commands at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River and Naval Support Facility Indian Head and Naval Support Facility Dahlgren. For this project Kekolu provides commercial, industrial and institutional construction services with minimal design for new construction, repairs, rehabilitation, renovation and alterations while providing all labor, materials, supplies, parts, plant, supervision, tools, transportation, equipment and related services. Many mechanical disciplines are performed for this contract and include but are not limited to plumbing, sound and vibration control, ventilation and exhaust systems, basic mechanical materials and methods, plumbing and piping for HVAC, testing/adjusting/balancing, instrumentation and controls, boilers, chillers and cooling towers and unitary HVAC equipment.
- DemolitionThis 7-year Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) IDIQ is to provide repairs, renovations, minor construction, maintenance and alterations to real property at JBA, JBAB, and its mission partner sites. Under this contract, Kekolu provides quality construction management at multiple locations, simultaneously utilizing multiple disciplines, including bid-build and design-build construction of a broad range of maintenance, restoration and modernization (R&M), repair/alteration, demolition, and renovation of real property of high complexity projects.
- Foundation Installation
- LandscapingThe repairs to the Virgina Avenue Track required us to retexture the entire running track, rework landscaping along perimeter of track, remove/replace damaged boarders on playground set, repair handicap access, install asphalt walkways and restripe, and new electrical for light pole repairs.
- FencingIn addition to upgrading all dumpster enclosures this project also required the installation of an electric slide gate system to included a pedestrian access door, automatic electric gates, installation of electrical controls, protective bollard installation and the installation of perimeter fencing.
- Gate Replacement/Installation
- ExcavationThis project required us to provide all new electrical power system and back up generator service to the Brandywine area of Prince George County. We were tasked with providing and installing all transformers, conduits, and generators. Disciplines performed were concrete, electrical, excavation, fencing, manholes, ductbanks and underground raceways.
- WalkwaysThis project at Andrews Air Force Base was for the complete renovation of the on-site tennis and basketball courts. Work started with demolishing the old courts. The renovation included raised courts and new landscaping surrounding it to prevent storm run off. Courts were completed with milled asphalt, surrounding walkways, new piping and controls for exterior lighting, new upgraded fencing and the renewal of all court accessories.
- GuttersSidwalks curbs and gutters were provided for 2500 LF around facilities at Andrews AFB in addition to 300 LF of asphalt which led to a wilderness track. Crosswalk sections were added and a pedestrian walkway to help patrons stay off the main road. All handicap accessibility standards were met throughout.
- SidingThis project required H1 to upgrade three new fire pump systems and all corresponding component’s that run, operate, and control the pump operations. This involved the removal of the building siding from the building envelope in order to access the pumps that needed repair. This action exposed the 16″ incoming supply line and outgoing high pressure distribution line joints and connections. The project rans smoothly under our management and our Government customer was pleased with our efficiency and quality of work.
- Residential Roof RepairThe repairs to the US Army Priority Air Transport Command Facility at Andrews AFB Involved a full fire detection and suppression systems revampment (included all devices, alarms and panels). The renovation of the men’s and women’s restrooms and new building addition. The building repairs included all finish work involved with constructing a 400 SF kitchen addition and a 200 SF addition for a fire suppression riser. Disciplines included: electrical, appliances, plumbing, HVAC (ductwork, registers/grilles, fire dampers and emergency shut offs), flooring, paint, ceilings, roof repairs, interior finishes and the construction of exterior awnings.
- Residential Roof Replacement/InstallationThis Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (DIIQ) contract is for construction projects at the Tooele Army Depot, and was awarded to our Joint Venture Company, Kekolu-Rio Vista Joint Venture. As requested by our customer, we perform multiple task order projects simultaneously at various locations at Tooele Army Depot. We provide all labor, travel, equipment, materials, supervision and support to perform all various construction work, repair projects, maintenance and new construction projects, equipment installation, concrete work and various site improvements. A significant task order issued under this contract is the M-Line Railway upgrade for $15,098,000, which requires the removal of approximately five miles of rail track, 16 turnouts, and the upgrade of the track, ballasts, switches, tie plates and spikes. The project involves two asphalt road crossings, and many upgrades to the rail line, making it an example of our ability to successfully undertake high-profile, unique, and demanding projects. Other task orders under this contract include but are not limited to trades such as concrete, equipment, carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, sheet metal, HVAC and roofing and range between $159,804. and $1,692,937.
- Painting
- CarpentryProject for renovations to the West Fitness Center at Joint Base Andrews which included renovating the men’s and women’s locker rooms, restrooms and saunas; repairs to the basketball court and renovation of fitness center interior lobby and exterior entrance. Disciplines performed were interior/exterior demolition, new architectural finishes, new LED light fixtures, life safety alarms, HVAC work, interior/exterior doors, flooring, finish carpentry (painting, moisture resistant walls and ceilings), storefront vestibule and handicap accessible entrance.
- InsulationThis project required us to demolish and replace AHU, Boilers, associated pipes, pumps and valves. It also required the evaluation, design and replacement for the building’s hot water heating system. Existing boilers were demolished and removed, installed new boilers, AHUs, pumps, hydronic de-coupler, associated piping, valves, strainers, seperators, gauges, flues, insulation and controls.
- MasonryFor this 7-year SABER contract Kekolu performs many task orders and has completed many others while meeting all of our project schedules with no delays and receiving excellent feedback from the Customer. Work under this contract is being performed at many different locations including JBA and its mission partner sites Davidsonville, Brandywine and AF Memorial and JBAB and its tenants. Kekolu manages many different disciplines simultaneously under this contract, including structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, communications, intrusion/detection, audio/visual systems, and electrical disciplines, petroleum/oil/lubricants systems, asphalt and concrete pavements, masonry, various roofing systems, earthworks and landscaping, aerial and underground utilities, power and heat generation, and more. Task order range under this contract is $2,000 to $700,000.
